My sincere condolences to Lorenzo's family. He was a great guy. I was his neighbor in 2010 when I had my one and only child, named Joseph. That next March 19, Lorenzo came to my door with something called a "St. Joseph's pastry" from his secret bakery and told me the story behind the name. My son just turned 13 and every year I go to the bakery and get two St. Joe's pastries! One custard and the other cream. God Bless You Lorenzo! XO Coleen and Joe.

I was so sorry to see this news. I worked so long ago with Lorenzo at Distillers Company Ltd. in Stamford (yes, a really, really long time ago!). I was the "auditor", who often people dodged, but not him. He was the sweetest, most fun loving guy who always had a great story to tell. Reading this brought a tear to my eyes. Rest in peace, Lorenzo and prayers for the family. Jan Carpenter Fairfield.

As a neighbor and friend, I am sorry to have to say goodbye to Lorenzo. Whenever I met him walking on our street, he always had a smile and a story for me. My last encounter was about month ago, Lorenzo was out distributing extra tomatoes & vegetables (garden overflow) to his neighbors. I declined his offer since my garden was also abundant but we went on to have a comedic discussion regarding our experiences growing Zucchini. I am glad to have known him for the past 40+ years and will miss his presence on the street, his contagious, always ‘happy to see you’ bright smile! Your friend, Porter Sherman
