Obituary of Mary Agnes Casey

Mary Agnes Casey of Bridgeport, beloved wife of James A. Casey, Jr., entered into eternal life on January 24, 2023 at age 88.
Born in the South End of Bridgeport, Mary graduated from Lauralton Hall in 1952 and went on to work 30 years as a school secretary at Anna Baum Skane School. She was also a parishioner of St. Ann Church for 65 years, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was actively involved in the choir and the Social Concerns Committee.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children, Colleen (Mark) of Niantic, Michael (Annie) of Black Rock, Patrick of Black Rock, Timothy of Monroe, and Sheila (Peter) of Northport, NY; as well as 13 grandchildren, 1.5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Hurley; and brothers, Brian and Billy Giblin. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Emily Giblin; brothers Jack and Tom Giblin; and grandson, Eddie Casey.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, located at 1209 Post Road in Fairfield Center. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at St. Ann Church, located at 481 Brewster St. in Bridgeport, with burial to follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.
