Obituary of Kathie Lynn Pendered

Kathie Lynne Pendered of Stratford, CT passed away September 17, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is predeceased by her parents, Gerry (Walsh) and Bill Pendered of Endwell NY. Her sister, Bobbie, lives in Maine with her husband, Robert. From the time Kathie went to school there, Maine was the place she would return to to renew and revive herself. Her nieces, Heather, of Brunswick, ME and Rachael, of Brooklyn, NY; and nephew and godson, Christian Zur, of Bethesda, MD were highlights in her life. Great niece, Natalie Zur; and great nephews, Alexander and James, were also cherished by Kathie. A special mention of her BFF, Tina, and husband, Terry, is in order, as her friends for life-always there for Kathie when she needed them.

Kathie was strong spirited and independent, yet as those especially who worked with her would agree, fair and big-hearted. Generous with colleagues and friends, with a crisp sense of humor that somewhat deflected her directives. She loved her family, friends, her books, and vintage films.

Sitting on her sister's deck, watching the tidal water and wildlife abound was the remedy she sought. Kathie will be sorely missed.
