Obituary of Mary Ohradan

Mary Rescsanski Ohradan, age 87, of Easton, beloved wife of the late Martin A. Ohradan, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Born in New York City on May 12, 1933, daughter of the late John and Anna Kopcho Rescsanski, Mary grew up in Bridgeport before moving to Easton where she lived for most of her life. She had worked for the Dictaphone Company and later for the Easton School District. Mary was a longtime parishioner of the former Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church of Bridgeport. She enjoyed playing the piano, listening to music, watching game shows, doing crossword puzzles and cooking and baking for her family. She is survived by her sons, Martin (Siobhan) Ohradan, Michael (Sharon) Ohradan, daughters Suzanne (Raymond) Forsell, Anne Gibson (David), Theresa and Janet Ohradan and David Kardos. She will be missed by grandchildren Adrianna, Stephen, Martin, Ellen (Justin), Rebecca, Christopher (Kate), Jennifer, Charles (Sara), Douglas and Michael; great-grandchildren Noah, Kaden, Lillie and Megan; and several nieces and nephews. The last of nine siblings, Mary was predeceased by brothers, infant John, James, John, Stephen, Joseph, Frank and sisters, Irene and Anne, and son in law David. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13 at 11 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Aspetuck Cemetery, Easton. Friends may call on Saturday from 10 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
