Obituary of Louis M. Barton

Louis M. Barton, age 70, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Annemarie Doddato Barton, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Born in Bridgeport to the late Guido and Mary Halasz Bartomioli, Louis was a graduate of Joel Barlow High School in Redding, and went on to earn his BS from the University of Bridgeport and furthered his education having received his MBA from UConn. Louis had a long and rewarding career in the energy business specializing in fossil fuels. He worked for several companies, including; United Texas Transmission Company in Houston, TX, Northeast Utilities Service Company in Berlin, CT, Global Energy (Ventyx Energy) Services, Inc. in Sacramento, CA, SCANA Services in Columbia, SC, Clark Energy Consulting, in Atlanta, GA, and Con Edison, in New York, NY. He took great pleasure in reading and researching military history, particularly World War II and Vietnam. In addition to his loving wife, Annemarie, Louis' memory will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Valerie and Mitchell; his brother, Jay Bartomioli, of Cos Cob; five nieces; and two nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Entombment will follow in the Pilgrimage Mausoleum at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his service.
