To the family: The physicians and staff of Fairfield County Medical Association were saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Cooney. Our deepest sympathy is extended to you. Dr. Cooney was a member of our association for 54 years. Dr. Cooney’s dedication to the practice of medicine left its impact on our community. His distinguished career as a respected OB/GYN in Fairfield County is remarkable. His many activities outside of medicine are a reminder of his vibrant, talented, and personable disposition. My condolences to the family. I was a patient in the Bridgeport office 43 years ago and my daughter was delivered by his colleague. My mother, Muriel Ciglar, worked in the office for years and my sister Judy Ciglar Kearns worked at the St Vincent's Hospital and also new him well. May he Rest In Peace and the family enjoy all their memories.
