Obituary of Donna Davis Boyle

Donna D Boyle, age 57, of Fairfield, entered eternal rest on Wednesday September 16, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with lymphoma. Donna was at home, surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Donna was born on December 27, 1962 in Wantagh, New York. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, John Boyle; her cherished children, Sarah Boyle, of San Francisco, CA and Connor Boyle, of New York, NY; her beloved parents, Donald and Lois Davis of Wantagh, NY; her brother, Gregory, and his wife, Amsl, of Alaska; her in-laws, Tom and Lita Boyle, of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. Donna graduated from high school in Wantagh in 1981 prior to graduating from SUNY Oswego in 1985, where she met her husband, John, in their senior year of college. Prior to electing to stay home with her children, Donna worked as a Product Manager for Cadbury Beverages, Nabisco, James River and Pepperidge Farm for many years. Donna lived in Fairfield for the last 28 years and was very active in the community, whether it be volunteering with the Junior Woman’s Club, volunteering for the PTA, where she served as president, working at the Loft in downtown Fairfield or selling real estate at one point for Berkshire Hathaway and Al Filippone Associates. Donna enjoyed spending time in her backyard with all “her flowers” but most of all Donna just wanted to spend time with her family, especially her two children, the light of her life. She loved spending quality time on vacation with family and friends especially in one of the places she loved most, Cape Cod, which she always called her happy place. Donna will be remembered as a great friend, wife and mother who was always willing to lend a hand in any way possible. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of getting to know her. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 2-5 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. All other services will be held privately.
