Madame Jacqueline Skubly was a Grande Dame, whose style, sense of family and loyalty were above reproach. She is someone who inspired and taught many young students during many years. She dressed impeccably, at all times, be in her Rose Garden, at the Universities where she was a Professor or at home. Her elegance and savoir-faire were unsurpassed and she was an example to her two devoted daughters as well as to her many friends. It was an Honor to be present when she received La Palme d'Or des Lettres, a few years back, during a ceremony at Fairfield University.
We will miss Jacqueline and her wisdom. She was someone we had on a pedestal !
Avec beaucoup de tristesse, we say "au revoir".
