Obituary of Frank Us

Frank Us, age 92, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2019. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Theresa Us-Testa and her husband Albert, of Bridgeport,  Renata Herbert and her husband Timothy, of Bridgeport; his cherished grandchildren, Sofia Testa, Brandon and Nichole Herbert, all of Bridgeport; his siblings, Peter Us of Stratford, Walter Us of Long Island, NY, Stefani Us of Burlington, VT; sisters-in-law, Ann Hribar, of Bridgeport and Mili Bajec, and her husband, Rajko, of Slovenia; a brother-in-law, Miro Hribar, and his wife, Mira, of Slovenia; and many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his loving wife Theresia Hribar Us, his beloved daughter, Ani Francais; and his siblings, Maria Mikan, Eli Dermastja, Stana Kalisnik, Fani Tomazic John Us, Joseph Us, Maxl Us, Gustl Us, Richard Us,  Denise Borsuk, and Christine Us. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Frank was a retired machinist for Bridgeport Machine and Moore Specialty Tool. He was an avid skier, a passionate gardener, the keeper of the family’s Slovenian traditions and heritage, a faithful servant of God and lifelong member  at Holy Cross Parish. Frank loved traveling to Slovenia to visit his country of birth. He enjoyed an occasional day trip with his family to the casino, the Shrine of Lourdes in Litchfield, and the Connecticut wineries. Calling hours will be held Friday (Today) from 4-7 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place on Saturday 930 AM in the funeral home and 1030 AM in Holy Cross Church, Fairfield. Interment with military honor will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery.
