I'll miss you buddy. I'll miss the times we talked about everything and nothing at all out at the fireplace, sharing a drink, a joke, a tough day, or a great golf story. I'll miss the summertime poolside playlists and the trivia about every band and musician worth a darn. I'll miss the friendship. See you on the other side.

We will all miss Neil so much. We are grateful to have been friends and neighbors for the time that we had together, and glad he had the opportunity to see the kids growing up. We know he truly cherished them.

IT'S RARE TO MEET SOMEONE AND AFTER A SHORT WHILE FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE KNOWN THAT PERSON ALL OF YOUR LIFE. THAT'S HOW I FELT ABOUT NEIL AFTER MEETING HIM ON THE GOLF COURSE JUST OVER A YEAR AGO.
HE UNDERSTOOD THE MEANING OF FRIENDSHIP, THAT IT LIVED ON A TWO WAY STREET, ALWAYS THERE TO LISTEN AND LEND ADVICE WHEN NEEDED.
I'LL CHERISH THE CAMARADERIE THAT DEVELOPED BETWEEN US, BE IT PLAYING GOLF OR DURING THE LUNCHES WE SHARED AT MARTEL'S.
EVEN THOUGH WE KNEW EACH OTHER FOR A SHORT TIME, I WILL MISS YOU, MY FRIEND, FOREVER.

PEACE BE WITH YOU

Thank you Marcia for reaching out to me..
Neil was always the instigator of all of the Glen Oaks Gang escapades
Neil was the glue that kept a lot of us all connected, be it in person, on the phone or on the end of one of Neil’s hilarious email chains
Neil said what he meant and meant what he said
I will totally miss Neil, but I still have all the memories we created in the basement at his parents house in Glen Oaks (Rye)
btw... the 70’s show on TV was us!!
I see that show and it brings back such hilarious memories
God bless you Neil
Marcia and Kelly please feel free to call me anytime you want to talk
and thank you again Marcia for your personal call to me
I’ll be there in spirit on the 7 th and will say a prayer on that day.

Neil was my best friend from about 5 years old on. His father used to come fix our family TV right in our living room. We went to school together from kindergarten at Resurrection School through Rye High School and survived it all. I most remember our activities as children from playing in the dangerous swamp next to Neil's house as young kids to tackle football with his big brother Jerry and so many friends from the Glen Oaks neighborhood. Then there were the many adventures of adolescence, music and dancing to the Beatles in his basement, bike and camping trips, and our on-the-road travels in Wilber (the '59 Chevy Belair that his dad sold to Donald Hobby for $50) and sporting about town in Neil's cherished '63 Ford Galexie convertible with golf clubs always in the trunk. Through it all, Neil served as our historian, recollecting, and not hesitating to share, every last detail of our youth, from the most exciting to the most embarrassing. And he continued to keep up and share what was going on with the RHS tribe for many years later, taking a lead role in planning reunions and being sure to update and share details on the ups and downs of so many classmates. I know he will be missed deeply and by so many. Hard to believe 'He's Gone' (had to play that Grateful Dead tune all day when I got the sad news). I know he will be missed most by his wife Marcia and his daughter Kelly, but so many considered Neil a dear friend and will miss his laugh, his stories and his genuine love and compassion over the years. Peace.
