Giuseppina “Josephine” Salvo age 92, of Fairfield, wife to the late Salvatore Salvo, passed away on May 12, 2019 in Fairfield, Connecticut. Giuseppina’s memory will be cherished by her daughters, Angela Salvo, Benedetta Maguire and her husband, Philip; adored grandchildren, Adriana Sullivan, Rosann Salvo, Philip Maguire and his wife, Melanie , Cristina O'Meara and her husband, Brian , Joseph Salvo & his fiancé Amanda Gray;  great-grandchildren- Josephine, Peyton, William, Emma, John, Teagan, Jackson, and an eighth on the way.  She is also survived by her sister, Maria Interlandi and a brother, Cristoforo Arena and his wife, Maria, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband of 58 years, Salvatore Salvo, Giuseppina was predeceased by a son-in-law Joseph Salvo and grandson, Salvatore Salvo, as well as her brothers, John Arena and Joseph Arena and their respective spouses. Giuseppina found the most joy when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.  She stayed playful and enjoyed teasing her great-grandchildren and looked forward to their frequent visits.   One of her favorite joys was cooking and feeding others and watching their enjoyment. Giuseppina found happiness and joy in the little things.  Even in more difficult times, she lived by the motto "at least we can laugh".  She was always loving, caring and kind to anyone who crossed her path. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 S. Pine Creek Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
