I just wanted to add to my condolence for my long-time dear friend Joan. We first met in kindergarten at PS 136 in St.Albans before she and her family moved to Brooklyn. We sang in the choir at Grace Methodist Church and I believe we were in girl scouts together for a while. All such good memories from so long ago.

I am so sorry to know of Joan’s passing. Our families knew each other, and we were dear old friends. We kept in touch over the years, and although we lived far apart, we caught up with each other in our phone conversations. I love her and will certainly miss her.

I am sorry to hear of Joan’s passing today. I so enjoyed doing Joan’s hair. She beamed as she spoke of the family she adored. I loved being around such a kind and loving spirit such as Joan’s. I will miss our time together very much. -DeAnn from Hair
