Anita Stella Pucci, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, in Fairfield, Connecticut, at the age of 88. She was born on November 8, 1936, to Edith and Joseph Russelli and was raised with her sister, Leonora Marcus, in a modest apartment in the Bronx, NY, surrounded by a large and close-knit extended family. Anita married her high school sweetheart, Bruno Pucci, on November 16, 1957. Together, they built a life based on love, hard work, and devotion until Bruno's passing in February 1986. A selfless and loving mother, Anita is survived by her three children: Ronald Pucci, Denise Lauro, and Michael Pucci. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her five grandchildren: Olivia (Pucci) Pike, Sophia Pucci, Juliette Pucci, Drew Lauro, and Luke Lauro, along with her great-grandson, Quincy Pike. She is also survived by her sister, Leonora Marcus, and her children: Jacki (Marcus) Galante and her husband Larry, as well as Anthony Marcus and his wife Lisa, and their children. Anita was known for her strong faith, selflessness, generosity, and care for everyone she knew. Her culinary skills were celebrated by all who had the pleasure of enjoying her meals. Professionally, she began working part-time once her children were in school, taking on various roles, most notably as a real estate salesperson and travel agent. She held several administrative positions, with her last role as Secretary to the Head of Labs & Research at Westchester County Medical Center, where she worked for a decade before retiring at age 63. Her passion for caregiving led her to work with Visiting Angels from ages 72 to 77. A devoted member of Holy Family Parish in Fairfield, CT, Anita served as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, embodying her deep commitment to her faith and community. Her life was a testament to the power of compassion and service, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. Anita Stella Pucci will be deeply missed by her family and lovingly remembered by friends and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of the Lord.
