Obituary of Barbara H. Miski

Barbara Miski, 90, of Fairfield, peacefully passed away on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024.

She was born in Yonkers, NY, to the late Helen and Charles Mester. When she was six years old, the family moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut. After graduating from Bassik High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Alexander, with whom she raised two children and spent 70 loving years together. Barbara was employed by the Bullard Company, Fredrick's Catering, and later the Fairfield store.

Barbara was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, baking, loved to spend time with her family and celebrate life with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed island vacations, traveling to northern New England and was active at the Fairfield YMCA.

Barbara is survived by her 2 children: Susan (Bruce) and Alexander (Carminda); four grandsons: Matthew, Alexander, Ryan and Trevor; her brother Charles a niece and several nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander, earlier this year.

All services for Barbara will be held privately.
