Arlene H. Ruzicka, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, 79, and lifelong resident of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center after her battle with cancer. She was born on December 1, 1944, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and is predeceased by her parents, Helen and George Resketo, brother George and sister Barbra. Arlene graduated from Andrew Warde High School in 1962. She graduated from Butler Business School and became a secretary at Bullard Havens in Bridgeport. Other jobs included Closet Tech in Stratford and CVS Pharmacy in Monroe as a pharmacy technician, where she retired in 2010. In 1967, she married the love of her life, Robert A Ruzicka, and has been a lifelong resident of Fairfield, Connecticut. At the time of her death, Robert and Arlene had been married for 57 years. Arlene was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed crossword puzzles, but most of all, she loved spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Robert, daughter Denise, Sons Ronald and Robert, daughter Allyson, grandchildren Ashlyn and Jason, granddaughter Isabelle, and many of their sons' childhood friends.
Friends and Relatives are invited to celebrate Arlene Ruzicka's life. The wake will be held at Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd, Fairfield, Connecticut, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The funeral will take place on Friday, September 13th, at Saint Andrews Church, 395 Anton Street, Bridgeport, Connecticut, at 11:00 a.m., followed by her burial at Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport.
