Patricia Ann Mary DeCurtis-Smith Obituary

Patricia "Patty" Decurtis-Smith was a caring mother, daughter, sister and friend. She passed away on Sunday, April 28th, 2024, at age 65 after battling ALS.

Patty was born to Eleanore and Richard Decurtis on July 18th, 1958, in Yonkers, New York.  After studying Medieval English Literature at SUNY Albany, Pat found a career in qualitative marketing analytics and received her MBA from Pace University. It was through her marketing career that she met her husband, Christopher Smith, on a blind date. Together, they built a life in Easton, Connecticut and had three children; Marissa, Nicolas, and Christopher Richard.

Pat was a wonderful mother, a terrible dancer, and the loudest voice in any room. She made the most of each day, whether through kayaking, bowling, hosting an impromptu party, or gatecrashing a concert. She'll be remembered for her love of puns and insistence that beautiful summer days should be celebrated.

Pat is survived by two of her children, her mother, Eleanore, and siblings Cathy and Rich.

Calling Hours for Patty will occur Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Patty's funeral mass will take place at Notre Dame of Easton on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Her burial will follow at Aspetuck Cemetery in Easton.
