My late husband, Louis Lauer, and I met the Blooms in early spring, 1965, on the ferry from Fire Island to Islip, and we agreed on sharing a house—that is, sharing the rental time, six weeks each—that summer. We later became quite close friends, especially after the Blooms bought their country house in Weston, CT. We all enjoyed bridge, cooking, music, landscaping, and our individual life pursuits. This sad news of Bob's recent death has stirred some wonderful memories. Affectionate condolences to Lois, with wishes for her well-being. Elizabeth Lauer

So sorry for your loss, Bob was a kind and giving man. His daughter, Allison would tell us stories all the time about how proud she was of him.
