Obituary of Alexander W. Miski III

Alexander W. Miski, III, of Fairfield, peacefully passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 93. He was born in Bridgeport CT to the late Rose and Alexander W. Miski, II. Al's life was marked by dedication and service. After graduating from Bassick High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he bravely served his country for 4 years on the U.S.S. Grand Canyon. Following his honorable discharge, he worked at the First National Store (Finast) for 44 years as a butcher. He loved the outdoors and was a long standing member of the Pequot Fish and Game Club Fishing was his passion where he was frequently found on the SUZY-Q angling for blues and stripers. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and was a big fan of UConn basketball. Al is survived by his beloved wife Barbara; his two children, Susan (Bruce) and Alexander IV (Carminda); and four grandsons, Matthew, Alexander V, Ryan, and Trevor. He was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn. All services will be held privately.
