Obituary of Thomas M. St. Hilaire

Please share a memory of Thomas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Thomas M. St. Hilaire of Fairfield, beloved husband, father and grandfather, entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2024.

Thomas was born in Waterbury on March 6, 1943, to the late Joseph St. Hilaire and Mildred (Carey) Kamritz. Thomas served proudly and honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He also proudly served as President of The Holy Name Society many years ago for St. Emery's Church. Thomas was retired from Carpenter Steel Technology where he was employed for many years, but found his true calling working for Lesko Funeral Home, where his outgoing personality and friendly demeanor greeted and consoled countless grieving families over the past few decades. He was truly a friend to all with his generous ways.

Pre-deceased by his sisters, Elaine Fabian and Carole Snyder, Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Idalene (Darmos) St. Hilaire; daughters, Kimberly Parkman (Robertson) and Tina Lee (Adam); his precious grandsons, Connor and Cody Lee; his remaining sister, Kathleen Walz; his dear friend, Billy Krzynowek, whom he treated like the son he never had; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. The funeral will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at St. Emery RC Church at 838 Kings Hwy. E in Fairfield at 10:00 a.m. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow the mass at Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
