Suzette, sweet cousin, I’ll miss you. Thank you for being so strong and encouraging and for showing a genuine interest in me and in my kids. Thank you for all the times you showed up for the important things. Birthdays, graduations, baby showers.. impromptu visits. You really knew what the little things that matter in life, family, a phone call, a memory shared. You always had a wonderful garden, you got that green thumb from Grandpa! I admired that. You encouraged me when I was broken hearted.. you acknowledged me for tough things I overcame. You consoled me when my parents each passed. You have no idea what an impact you had on me always. I know our entire family will miss you sorely. I know you are with Aunt Carol now ! Rest in peace sweet Suzette.

I moved to Fairfield CT in the summer of 1963, to begin classes at RLHS in September. My pathway crossed with Suz's during the winter of that first year. I can honestly state until our last video chat, there are very few memories which do not include my friend in Connecticut. We were young Mom's, our children know us as Aunt Mary or Aunt Suzette. Somehow down the 61 years, which have passed all too quickly, we had a zillion visits, laughter, sadness, and remained the closest of friends. Our life gift was a blessing to us both. Now each time I think of my "Bestie" on her new journey, her spirit soars, an angel unencumbered by human health challenges. I will never forget her smile, or her distinctive signature on cards over our 1963-2024 "dash" I love our final weeks conversation was our Grandkids weddings this fall and spending a few weeks together in summer ~ great aspirations! God's ideas were always percolating; we were great at multi-tasking or follow thru on expectations: no promise was left unfinished! Her daughters strength and beauty are a testament to her love of family as well as those of us who were her friends. Suzette has now heaven graduated; I am so proud she IS my forever friend. She lived the Golden Rule, joyfully laughing with all she met. Until I catch up: Vaya Con Dios Suz

Suzette was a valued friend and sister; I learned much about the history of Eastern Star as Suzette was a 50-year member and always willing to teach a newer sister the history. We had some fun antics while in the old Fairfield Location, climbing thru windows to get in or coming up with unique refreshments Suzette could eat, slipper Night where we all wore slippers to our meeting. And in our new location Suzette was always eager to take a take and make; a ginger bread house to make at home or graham craker bunny house to make at home. We also enjoyed many dinners to celebrate Christmas and Summer. We will miss you much.

I remember every time Shawn and I would go to Ronnie and Suzette's house, she would walk me through her garden. Knowing how black my thumb is she would find her favorite easy care plants and pick a couple for me to plant at our home. She would explain what it was and how to take care of them. I would plant them and immediately forget everything she told me to do. Fortunately they not only lived, but strived even to this day. I can imagine that they will grow even stronger now. We will miss you dearly Suzette. Take good care of Ronnie up there❤️

So sorry for your loss. I wasn't aware she was sick recently. My husband first met her at a cancer survivor breakfast many years ago and I also had the privilege of meeting her at the cancer breakfast. May she rest in peace. Her husband having the same last name was also intriguing. I will miss her facebook posts.
