June C. Vaporis, age 89, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Pierre R. Vaporis, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 1, 2024.

June was born in Saranac Lake, NY to the late Leonard and Eleanor Lyon Collins. After graduation from Roger Ludlowe High School, she worked as a telephone operator. She loved spending time at the beach, and was an avid reader, especially of Stephen King. June enjoyed crafting and adored all her grandchildren and pets.

June's memory will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Wayne Vaporis, and his wife, Cindy, Craig Vaporis, and Drew Vaporis, and his wife, Anna. Also, her grandson, Cole Vaporis; bonus granddaughters, Sara Pekar Mergel, Kaeley Morrissette, and Vanessa DuBois; seven great-grandchildren, her favorite niece, Melissa Curro, and her husband, Phil; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her devoted husband, Pierre, June was predeceased by a son, Todd Vaporis; a granddaughter, Christy Vaporis; a sister, Donna Mae Cink; and her brothers, Harold Collins and Earl Collins.

Services will be held privately. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery alongside her husband Pierre.
