Arie Adler Obituary

We lost Arie Adler, 63, of Westport, on December 23rd 2023. He was a larger than life figure: a father, husband, son, and friend.

Arie was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1960. He was a distinguished officer in the Israeli Defense Forces, and was appointed senior instructor in the advanced officer training program. After the military, he earned his bachelor's degree at Tel Aviv University and his MBA at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. He then began his career in Finance in New York City, where he met Margie, the love of his life.

Arie spent his career in foreign exchange trading, retiring in 2010 after becoming the Global Co-Head of G10 FX Trading at UBS. In his retirement, Arie spent his free time riding his collection of motorcycles around New England with friends; taking his Labrador Retrievers, Rex and Rockie, for long walks around the neighborhood; and watching movies with his wife and children. He loved bagels, photography, Costco, chicken schnitzels, Warren Buffett, and Diet Pepsi. But more than anything, he loved his family, and they adored him even more.

Arie leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Margie Adler; his children Noelle (26), Jojo (25), Kylie (22), Jax (21), and Jett (18); his sister, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law; loving nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

A memorial service for Arie will take place Thursday, December 28th from 1:30-3:00pm, followed by words of remembrance officiated by his friends and family. For travel directions or to sign his online guest register, please visit www.LeskoFuneralHome.com.
