Obituary of Marlene Dornes

Marlene Traybarics Dornes, age 75, of Trumbull, wife of the late George Dornes, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 with her family by her side.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rose Gergely Traybarics.  Marlene grew up in Black Rock and then moved to Norwalk with her husband before moving to Trumbull in 2005. She had worked for the Deloitte Co. for many years until her retirement. She and her husband George liked to travel and they enjoyed an extensive amount of vacation cruises. Marlene was fond of bird watching, St. Mary's by the Sea and her monthly luncheons with her high school group and condo friends. She enjoyed watching classic movies, soap operas and Judge Judy.

Survivors include her sister Laurene Traybarics of Bridgeport, a niece, Faith Alves, and her husband, Jack, of Trumbull, nephews, John Rose of Stratford, Todd Turner, and his wife, Michele, of Norwalk, Timothy Turner, and his wife, Darlene, of Ansonia and Troy Turner, and his wife, Meta, of Union Mills, NC. She was predeceased by her sisters Jacqueline Turner and Arlene Rose.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-4 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with a prayer service at 3:30 pm.
