I knew Nancy for over 30 years because of our mutual friendship with Dee Horvath. We shared many smiles, tears and good food.
It was fun learning to play mahjong with Nancy who tried to make her own pattern versus following the card combinations! Nor can I forget her protests when I would bring out Christmas Bingo.
We went to several concerts together such as George Winston and Kenny Chesney. She enjoyed all forms of music.
Nancy was always there as a dear friend regardless of the hour or her own health issues. She is and will be forever missed.

I am so sad to learn of Nancy's sudden passing. I met Nancy during my days as an attorney at Pullman Comley. We became friends through my assistant, Dee Horvath. Nancy was an outstanding paralegal at P&C and a leader in the Connecticut Association of Paralegals. She had such a vibrant personality - outgoing, exuberant, friendly, thoughtful. Her gifts were legendary for their uniqueness reflecting the individuality of the giftee. Being in her company was always a delight. We lost touch when I moved to the Washington, D.C. area several years ago. But I will always remember Nancy's wonderful spirit.... and smile. May she rest in peace on a beautiful beach somewhere in heaven!

I’ve had the honor, the privilege and the pleasure of knowing Nancy for nearly 50 years. ( I just did the math and it’s hard to believe!).
Coming from a family of five sons and no daughters, it was great to marry into one of all daughters and have them become the sisters I never had. They are all different - and Nancy was different - in a fun way. I’ll miss her famous greeting - HiHi - as she came through our door on holidays carrying her delicious goodies - deviled eggs - bottles of wine and some amazing desert. I’ll miss the multiple birthday cards - she never missed my birthday - and I doubt she missed many at all! And - I'll miss sharing the occasional scotch with her as well.
Fifty years is a long time and Nancy and I share a lot of history and a lot of joyous events including the births of our wonderful children and their blossoming in adulthood. I’m glad to have shared with her many good times, vacations and holidays - she helped make them more fun and memorable. It’s indeed sad that she will not continue to share in those fun times but the memories of those we had will make me smile for a very long time.
God bless you Nancy - I’ll miss you

Aunt Nancy was always a warm and enthusiastic cheerleader for our entire family. I will deeply miss her birthday phone calls, our holiday catch-up conversations, and her laughter. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, a great friend, and a generous spirit, and I wanted to share some photos I have of her in her memory. She’s in my thoughts and forever in my heart.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Nancy the last few years but in that small amount of time I am so lucky to have known such a fun, loving and good soul. She was family to me, and I know my mom and dad are probably hearing all about Snooks right now. I am blessed to have known such an incredible woman.

Family vacations, get-togethers and holiday celebrations will not be the same without Nancy's laughter, positive energy, and insightful observations. The picture I have included is from a Christopher Cross concert at Bar Harbor from last September. Rebecca and I were more than happy to sit next to her, knowing she was as much a fan of 80's yacht rock as we are! We had a great time, standing and clapping for most of the show. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to share this experience with Nancy. After the show alot of us went to a nearby bar to continue the night's revelries and there was Nancy, in her element, making friends with strangers and laughing louder than anyone!
Nancy loved the water, loved sitting on her favorite beach in Martha's Vineyard, watching the sailboats come and go. Chirstopher Cross sings, "And if the wind is right you can sail away and find serenity". I like to think Nancy is now on one of those sailboats and has found her own serenity.
I miss you dearly Aunt Nancy!

Nancy was not just a mother-in-law to me, but also a cherished friend, confidante, and an incredible grandmother to my daughter, Audrey Rhoades.
One of the fondest memories I have of Nancy is our last trip together to Bar Harbor, Maine in September of last year. It was a trip filled with laughter, joy, and lots of Lobster Rolls - that she insisted on paying for each and every time we went out. Nancy's love for her granddaughter Audrey was palpable, and her eyes would light up every time Audrey burst into the room. She adored Audrey with unwavering affection and showered her with love and the best gifts. I am forever grateful to Nancy for being such an amazing grandmother and for nurturing such a special bond with Audrey.
I have been in tremendous debt to Nancy for my wife, her daughter, Courtney Brown. If not for Nancy, I wouldn’t have Courtney as the companion in my life I would do anything for.
Nancy's presence in our lives has been truly invaluable. She had a heart of gold, and her kindness, generosity, and selflessness touched the lives of the many people she called her friends. She was always there to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, and provide wise counsel. Her gentle spirit and unwavering support were a source of comfort and strength during both joyful and challenging times. I will always treasure the memories of the moments we shared and the love and warmth she brought into our lives.
Although Nancy is no longer with us in the physical realm, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in our hearts forever. She has left an indelible mark on our lives, and her memory will be cherished and treasured always. Nancy, may you rest in peace, knowing that you have touched the lives of many and left a lasting legacy of love and compassion.
- Sincerely, Andrew

What a loss of a beautiful lady who brought, joy, laughter, energy, family values and love to everything and everyone she touched. Lucky were we who could celebrate the cherished times together with giggles and laughter. I will always have the NYC side walk seminars, visits to NJ and to STL, birthday wishes and casual phone catch-ups. Nancy, a one of a kind whose genuine spirit was for putting others ahead of herself. Love and prayers to all the family. Edgar

I was so saddened to hear about Nancy's passing. She was always so pleasant to be with during our St Thomas Years. To Courtney, who shared her years at STS with my daughter, Bridget, I am so sorry for your loss.

Nancy had grandma belle’s same energy, the life of the party, the one that always is trying to make everyone laugh, and someone who wants everyone to just enjoy themselves. I loved every moment I had with Nancy, a memory that sticks out the most to me is when I was around 14 visiting nyc for the first time and Nancy and Betsy took me to try on the highest heels at Michael Kors. I felt so special and loved that trip for years after.

In large, extended family gatherings, especially for weddings, Nancy would spontaneously initiate the family ritual song of “Here’s to the Nouss’, the Nouss’, the Nouss’, the best of them all, ….” The spontaneity of it all, always brought fun, joy and smiles, not to mention stunned new relatives! We have so many tremendous memories of Nancy, only to be exceeded by her bigger than life personality and genuine connection to people. We love you and miss you. Our condolences to all who were touched by her. -your cuz, ;) john nouss
