Jessica Ellen Makara DiRoma, age 41, of Southport, beloved wife of Christopher DiRoma, entered into eternal life on February 17, 2023.

Born in Bridgeport, Jessica attended Notre Dame Catholic High School in Fairfield and graduated in 2000. She then furthered her education and earned a degree in architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. After college, Jessica began her career at TPG Architecture in NYC and then at Thornton-Tomasetti Group in New Haven, CT. Since 2011 Jessica was employed as a Senior Account Manager at Remains Lighting, Brooklyn, NY.

Jessie loved to celebrate and spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the beach, traveling, and hosting impromptu parties with Chris. When you met Jessica, you were drawn to her pure heart and love for others. Jessie had a creative eye and was very gifted in art. During her high school years, she also studied at Silvermine Art Guild and Parsons School of Design.

In addition to her loving husband, Christopher DiRoma, of Stratford, Jessica's memory will be lovingly remembered by Chris' children, whom she cared for deeply, Nicholas and Mariana DiRoma; her parents, Joan and Michael Makara, of Southport; her sister & brother-in-law, Kathlene Makara and Dean Roberti, of Fairfield; and several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. Jessica was predeceased by her grandparents, Joe and Helen Bender of Bridgeport and Mary and Mike Makara of Stratford.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Thomas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield. Interment will be held privately.
