Our Dear mother Carmen Leticia DeJesus, of Bridgeport,  passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on February 3, 2023 in heer home.

Carmen was a strong woman surviving many challenges, proving what a matriarch is  a woman of devotion and conviction. Carmen arrived to Connecticut from Puerto Rico as a young wife and mother, becoming the mother of eight children. She learned to be the best wife and mother she proved to be. She also shared her love with other youngsters in need of a second mother. She enjoyed working outside her home over the years as well being known as the "Avon Lady", helping others to look, feel and smell great. She loved traveling, eating especially sweets, playing with her great grandchildren, playing Dominos, watercolors, going for a walk and chair yoga.

Carmen was predeceased by her husband Benito DeJesus and three sons, Carmelo DeJesus, Marcos DeJesus and Charles DeJesus, She will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Wilma Santiago, Margie Cohn, Joseph DeJesus, Carmen Delia DeJesus, Gladys DeJesus Rana, and 10 grandchildren and 6 great grand children.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 p.m.in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
