Obituary of Mary Sekelsky

Mary Sisko Sekelsky, age 100, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late William J. Sekelsky, entered into eternal life on Monday, January 2, 2023.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Fairfield and was a faithful member of Holy Cross Church and previous volunteer for St. Pius X Church. Mary worked for many years as a food service employee at Fairfield University. She loved nature, being outdoors, animals, gardening, butterflies, and especially loved caring for her family.

Mary's memory will be lovingly remembered by her children, William Sekelsky, and his wife, Tina, of Fairfield, and Tina Poster, and her husband, Rod, of Palm Coast, FL; grandchildren, Jan-Marie Bard, and her husband, Daniel, Justine Houle, and her husband, Daniel, and Jenna Nelsen, and her husband, Matthew; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, Brendin, Mackenzie, Madison, and Chase; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her loving husband, William, Mary was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Rose Sisko; a daughter, Kathleen Johnson; a grandson, Michael Johnson; and her siblings, Joseph, Frank, John, and Louis Sisko, Katherine Antolics, and Angie Toth.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Drive, Fairfield, CT 06824. Interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Holy Cross Church.
