Ana Velosa Moita, age 92 of Bridgeport, wife of the late Joaquin Quesado Pinheiro, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2022.

Ana was born in Portugal on September 27, 1929, and lived there with her family before coming to the United States in 1986 and had been a Bridgeport resident for over 35 years. She had worked as a housekeeper until her retirement. Ana enjoyed caring for her home, gardening and traveling. More than anything she loved being with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Ana is survived by her children, Pedro Manuel Moita Pinheiro and his wife Maria Jacinta Pinheiro of Portugal, Humberto Daniel Pinheiro and his wife Ana Paula Pinheiro from Bridgeport and Carlos Pinheiro of Shelton. Daughters Maria Teresa Pinheiro and her husband Joaquin Matias of Trumbull and Maria Do Rosario Lopes and her husband Antonio Lopes of Portugal. She leaves behind her grandchildren Pedro Ricardo Pinheiro, Ana Marta Laplante, Tiago Daniel Pinheiro, Kevin Esteves Pinheiro, Kasie Esteves Pinheiro, Gary Matias, Brian Matias, Corey Matias, Ana Catarina Lopes and Joao Pedro Lopes, great-grandchildren Sebastian, Valentina, Joshua, Ryan, Joziah, Mariana and Reagan. She was predeceased by her brother Jose Moita and sister Felesmina Moita. 

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, September 22 at 11 am at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
