Obituary of Marion L Landis

Marion Louise Landis (nee Jones), passed away April 3, 2022 at the age of 94 in Fairfield, CT. Previous residences included Katy, TX, Brea, CA, San Antonio, TX. Tulsa, OK, Port Arthur, TX, and Wichita, KS. She was born September 20, 1927 in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 71 years, Robert Quinton Landis, who was a veteran of the US Navy in World War II and participated in the battle of the Leyte Gulf. Also, pre-deceased is her brother Evan Jones, his wife Betty Jones, and her parents Russell and Mary Jones. She received her RN at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and had a long career as a nurse in cardiac care and cardiac rehabilitation. She was loved by all of her patients and her colleagues.

She is survived by her two children, Robert C. Landis and his partner Fredda Gordon, and Stephen Landis and his wife Carol Landis, and her former daughter in law Robin Wachs. In addition, she is survived by 5 grandchildren, Alexandra Landis, David Landis and his wife Tashina, Ian Landis, Noah Landis, Robert L. Landis and his wife Sarah, plus four great-grandchildren Atlas, Easton, Harper, and Mark Oliver. Also, her beloved granddog Walter. Marion was a loving and caring parent, grandparent and great grandparent who always put her family first. When asked what she would title her biography, she answered, "A Happy Life."
