Obituary of Loretta Tatarynowicz
Loretta Wasilewicz Tatarynowicz, of the Black Rock Section of Bridgeport, devoted wife of the late Stanley Tatarynowicz, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 18,2022, at the age of 88.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stanley, of 60 years. Loretta’s memory will be embraced by her children, Mary Ann Burout, and her husband, Chuck, of Bedford, NH, Irene Ferrigno, and her husband, Eric, of Shelton, Susan Pinheiro, and her husband, Carlos, of Fairfield, Stanley Tatarynowicz Jr., and his wife, Lisa, of Bridgeport, her primary caretaker, Frank Tatarynowicz of Bridgeport; her grandchildren, Jonathan Ferrigno, Jason Pinheiro, and his wife, Akiko, Jennifer DeCoteau, and her husband, Nick, Jeffrey Pinheiro, and his wife, Melissa, Samantha Bruder, and her husband, Sean, Jessica Yazdzik, and her husband, Rob; and her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Landon, Hayden, Finn, and Adalyn.
Born in Szemioty, Poland, Loretta immigrated to the United States to Long Island, NY and later settled in Bridgeport to raise her family. A devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of St. Ann’s, she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was an active member & volunteer. She truly enjoyed being the lunch lady, playing bingo, meeting with the seniors on Monday afternoons and participating wherever she could. She will be remembered for her kindness to others, her strong faith in God, and her love of family.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Ann Church, 481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport, CT 06605 with inurnment to follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
