Obituary of JoAnn F Howley
Jo Ann “Jenny” Stapkowski Howley, age 91, of Fairfield, devoted wife of the late Thomas Howley, passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2021.
Born June 19, 1930 to John and Sophia Strapkowski, Jo Ann grew up in the Greens Farms section of Westport and was a graduate of Staples High School in 1948. Jo Ann and her late husband Thomas settled in Fairfield in 1951. A devout Catholic, she immersed herself in charity causes through Saint Pius X Church, and later, with Holy Cross Church. Many will miss her giving and loving presence.
Jo Ann is survived by her three sons Martin, Philip, and Thomas, as well as, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 5th, at 11 AM in Holy Cross Church, Fairfield, with her interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery, Westport.
