Obituary of Joseph Stanley Samatoski

Joseph Stanley Samatoski, age 89, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Alice Webb Samatoski, passed away on December 14, 2021. Born on May 1, 1932, son of the late Joseph and Irene Angeski Samatoski, Mr. Samatoski was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. He had served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He later went on to a 39 year career at Sikorsky Aircraft. He was a very active parishoner of St. Ann Church where he served as a church usher. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with friends and the occasional trip to the casino. More than anything he loved the times that he spent with his family. In addition to Alice, his loving wife of over 60 years, he leaves behind his children, Edward Samatoski, and his wife, Antoinette, of Milford; a daughter, Janet Sinko, and her husband, James, of Gainsville, Georgia; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Joseph Samatoski and a brother, Raymond Samatoski. Funeral services were held privately in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
