Obituary of Laurene Traybaris

Laurene Traybaris, age 76 of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Born in Bridgeport on January 7, 1945, daughter to the late Joseph and Mary Gergely Traybaris. Laurene was a lifelong area resident. She had been employed with the Mercedes Benz Co in the clerical department and held many other jobs throughout her life. She grew up in Black Rock and graduated from Bassick High School. She enjoyed walking at St. Mary's by the Sea, spending time with her family, friends and her pets. She liked to travel especially to Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee and absolutely loved all things Elvis. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Todd Turner and his wife Michele, Timothy Turner and his wife Darlene, Troy Turner and his wife Meta, Faith Alves and her husband Jack and John Rose. Laurene also leaves behind her great nieces and nephews Ashley, Justine, Jay, Jillian and Troy Jr and great great nieces and nephews, Ava, Alex, Camrynn and Blake. Laurene was predeceased by her three sisters, Jackie, Arlene and Marlene. The family would like to thank the staff at Northbridge Healthcare for the wonderful care they provided to her during the time that she was a resident there. There will be no formal services.
