Obituary of Suzanne Block

Suzanne Block, age 89, wife of the late Richard Block, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. Born in Jamaica, NY, daughter of the late Abraham Jacobson and Evelyn Jacobson Block. Suzanne had lived in New York City, Long Island, and Washington DC, before moving to Fairfield 25 years ago. She had graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and later received her Masters Degree in Child Development and Family Relationship from Cornell University; and received a second Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Long Island University. She enjoyed a long career as a private school educator. Suzanne was a vivacious reader, enjoyed exercising at the Fairfield YMCA, spending time at the Fairfield Senior Center, she appreciated many forms of art and the occasional glass of wine. More than anything, she loved being with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Block, a son Aaron Block and his wife Edita, grandchildren Noelle Block Lubin, Margaux Block Lubin, David Block and Vivian Block as well as several nieces. She was predeceased by her brother Stanley Jacobson. Funeral services are private in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
