Obituary of Barbara Keiser
Barbara Devon Keiser, age 77, of Shelton, formerly of Fairfield and Bridgeport, left this world on Thursday, July 15, 2021 to join her true love and best friend, Richard (RFK Trucking), whom she missed so much since he left her on October 19, 2005, her quality of life was just not the same.
She was born on April 24, 1944 to the late Margaret Vetrosky Devon Shay. She had helped in running the family business as well as being a baker/cook for the Dunn and Bradstreet Co. until her retirement.
Barbara belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 29 of Clearmont, NH, the Women of the Moose Chapter 662 of Newport, NH and the Foresters Club of Newport, NH. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and liked watching the UCONN Lady Huskies. More than anything she so enjoyed the times that she spent with her family in Vermont and New Hampshire, cooking and baking for them and the occasional trip to the casino.
She is survived by her Big brother, William (Bill) Devon, and his wife, Kathy (Little Sis), of Perkinsville, VT; a special cousin, Nancy Uhrynowski, and her husband, Paul; best friend and sister, Joan Elliot, and her husband, Jim (W.D.), whom she wouldn't know what to do without. Barbara couldn't ask for better friends anywhere. She is also survived by Jayne Keiser, Thomas Keiser-Diana, Betty (Boop) Verone, Tinz and Jackie Valentino; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Family and friends may call on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Many-Many thanks to Dr. F Ahmaden and Dr. Glaskinsky for the care that Barbara received during her illness.
