I knew John for many years at St. Vincent's. He was a gentleman and lovely person to work with. I took care of his Dad when he was ill. John was a sweet and gentle soul, and I always loved talking to him over the years. He made a great contribution to the patients and his colleagues through his many decades of service.

My condolences to John’s family. John and I grew up together and were classmates from K-8 at Thomas Hooker School, and then our paths again crossed while working at St Vincent’s. John was a true gentleman, and most of all he was a good friend. He always had a kind word, a great sense of humor, and always offered to go the extra mile. He touched so many lives. I pray he is at peace surrounded by those he loved that went before him. I know I shall miss him dearly.

Sharing good thoughts and memories of John. I always enjoyed his company, his enthusiasm for history, his sense of humor even his somewhat ribald jokes, his liking of all things Bridgeport and Hungarian stories. He was a man of many talents and a pretty good baker of Hungarian desserts. He was the Ambassador of Keibasi for his Church, not a holiday went by without him calling for an order. John, I hope the food and story telling meets your approval in Heaven. We will of course miss you here, but look forward to seeing you again........Your Hungarian Friend, Dave McCoart
