Obituary of Andrew J Vizi

Andrew J. Vizi, age 83, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Magda Teczar Vizi, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Born and raised in Budapest, Hungary, son of the late Andras and Margaret Tobak Vizi, He had served as a Lieutenant for the Hungarian Army before moving to the United States in 1959. He had worked as a machinist in the Bridgeport area for over forty years until his retirement. Andrew had enjoyed bowling and reading, was an auto enthusiast and an avid sports fan cheering for UCONN Womens Basketball, the Green Bay Packers and Boston Celtics and attending all of his grandson Matthews sporting events as he grew up. A loving husband, father and grandfather he will be greatly missed. In addition to Magda, his loving wife of 59 years, he is survived by his son, Robert Vizi of Bridgeport, his grandson and best friend Matthew Vizi, sisters Margaret Hindie and her husband William of Fairfield and Eva Zavorsky of Montreal, Canada as well as several nieces and nephews in the US, Canada and Hungary. He was predeceased by his son, Edward and sister Helen of Hungary. Funeral services will be held privately in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
