Obituary of Michaelene N. Subik

Michaelene Nancy Subik, age 74, of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Michaelene was born in Bridgeport on January 23, 1944, the youngest daughter of Michael and Irene Sneider Subik. Mickie as she was affectionately known worked for Bridgeport Metal Goods and various grocery and pet stores throughout her life. She had a special love for animals, especially her cats. Mickie was a very loving and generous soul who loved music an spending time with her son, Raymond and her family. Mickie is survived by her beloved son, Raymond M. Subik of New Haven, her loving middle sister Barbara E. Subik Gergely of Stratford and her many nieces and nephews and their families. Mickie was predeceased by her eldest sister, Jeannette and her husband Rudolph Jurman, brother in law Robert W. Gergely and a nephew Robert M. Gergely. Mickie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11 am in the United Church of Christ, 2200 North Ave., Bridgeport, Ct. The family would like to thank the staff of Bridgeport Hospital and Vitas Hospice for their loving care and support during her illness.
