Bernard Eugene Reade Jr., age 79, of Bridgeport, husband of the late Frances Buynak Reade, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Born in Bridgeport, son of the late Bernard E. Reade Sr and Hannah Dodds Reade, Bernard was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. He had served his country in the US Air Force. He had worked for the Avco Lycoming Co. for many years until his retirement. Bernie was an avid tropical fish enthusiast, he was an expert marble player and was a member of the St. Ann's Church Seniors Group. He is survived by his son, Mark Reade of Bridgeport and a sister Beverely Buedinger of Vermont as well as many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service and luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 12 noon at the Circle Diner in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, the CT Food Bank or th the Wounded Warriors Project.
