Carol Criscione, age 56, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Bridgeport on June 3, 1961, daughter of the late Enrico and Geneva ( Jean ) DeChristopher Criscione, Carol had been a Bridgeport resident for most of her life. She had been an art teacher for the Bridgeport School system for several years. Carol was a gifted artist, she excelled in drawing, painting and was a talented musician, playing several instruments. Carol also designed womens clothing and was published in several magazines. She loved her pet dogs and enjoyed travel, especially to Florida and loved all things Disney.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Courtney Higgins and her husband Raymond, grandchildren Madisyn and Raymond Higgins Jr, all of Trumbull and a sister Jean Criscione of Bridgeport as well as her former husband James Kertesz.

Graveside services will take place on Wednesday at 12 noon at the Long Hill Cemetery on Middlebrooks rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made towards the needs of the family athttps://www.gofundme.com/euhytc-funeral-expenses-for-my-mother.
