Obituary of Eftimia Kiosse

Eftimia Ghilechi Kiosse, age 83, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late George Kiosse, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2018. Born in Greece, daughter of the late Sterio and Ecaterina Lamaris Ghilechi,

Tina came to the United States in 1952 and had lived in Bridgeport for most of her life. She was a longtime member of St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church, she belonged to the St. Dimitrie Ladies Auxiliary and was a willing volunteer for all church functions. Tina enjoyed crochetting and most of all she loved cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her children, Steve Kiosse and his wife Debbie of Stratford, Thomas Kiosse of Bridgeport, Mary Aurilio and her husband Sam of Texas and Lina Kiosse Thornberg of Bridgeport. Tina leaves behind her precious grandchildren, Greg A. Thornberg and Nico R. Thornberg, Britni Kiosse and Michael Kiosse, a very special niece Kim Kiosse DiVico and her family a very special nephews Christopher and James Kiosse, as well as, several additional nieces and nephews, including Irene Rallis and her family. She was predeceased by her brother Atanase Ghilechi.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10 am DIRECTLY at St. Dimitrie Orthodox Church, 504 Sport Hill Road, Easton with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. The Trisagion service will be at 6 pm.
