Obituary of Barbara A. Leary

Barbara A. Leary, age 69, devoted wife of William Leary, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2017 in Masonicare of Wallingford.

In addition to Bill, her beloved husband, her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Dawn Leary of Bridgeport, Kim Leebaert and her husband Corky, and grandson, Dean, all of Okinawa, Japan. She is also survived by her siblings, Gloria Douyan, and her husband Pierre, of North Chatham, NY, Susan Demovich and James Demovich, both of Bridgeport. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Helen Tetlak Demovich.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, Barbara resided in Fairfield for most of her adult life. She worked as a clerk at Warners for 36 years before her retirement. A wonderful, compassionate, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Barbara truly cherished her family. Her strength and resilience were inspiring to those who knew her. Barbara's ability to listen to people and carefully offer thoughtful advice helped many in need. She will be remembered for her incredibly kindhearted, nurturing, and selfless ways by her family and friends.
