Obituary of Eleanor Klinko

Eleanor Klinko, age 93, of Fairfield, devoted wife to the late Joseph Klinko, passed away on October 11, 2017. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marsha Santilli and her husband Domenic, of Wallingford, Janet Klinko and her husband Michael Tintrup, of Trumbull, Thomas Klinko, of Fairfield; two grandchildren, Daniel Santilli, of Wallingford, Laura Canby and her husband Michael, of Wolcott; two great grandchildren, Aubrey Rose and Kylie Faith Canby; her sister-in-law, Chev Geriak, of Stratford; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Joseph, Eleanor was predeceased by her son Joseph M. Klinko, and three siblings, John Csontos, Helen David, and Julia Margait. Born and raised in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Eleanor Toth Csontos. A graduate of Bassick High School, Eleanor married and raised her four children. She was a secretary for Wright Investors and Westport Fire Department before her retiring. Throughout her life, Eleanor enjoyed staying active. Caring for her family, sewing, cooking, playing bingo, Ballroom and line dancing all gave her pleasure. She was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ. Fond memories of Eleanor will be embraced by her family whom she so deeply loved. Friends may greet her family on Saturday from 915-1015 AM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her funeral service will follow at 11 AM in United Church of Christ, 2200 North Avenue, Bridgeport, with interment at Mountain Grove Cemetery.
