Friar Louis Michael Pintye, O.F.M.
Born February 16, 1955 in Trenton, New Jersey, Friar Louis Michael Pintye passed into eternal life on August 20, 2017 at Mount Alverna Friary-Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted in Youngstown, Ohio. He was the son of the late Anna Marie(Majoros) and Louis Nicholas Pintye. He is survived by his brothers Robert of Trenton, New Jersey and Michael of Brentwood, Tennessee. Fr. Louis was invested in the Franciscan habit on June 23, 1984. He made his Solemn Profession of Vows at his home parish of St. Stephen, King of Hungary, Trenton, New Jersey on May 21, 1989. During his 27 years of priestly ministry following his ordination on October 6, 1990, Fr. Louis served the people of God as a Parochial Vicar at St. Ladislaus Church, New Brunswick, New Jersey; St. Anthony of Padua Church, Troy, New York; and St. Joseph Church in Winsted, Connecticut. From January 1998 to May 2011, Fr. Louis served as Pastor of St. Emery Church, Fairfield, Connecticut. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at St. Emery Church, 838 Kings Highway East, in Fairfield.
