Patricia Montini McCarthy, age 84, beloved widow of James McCarthy, entered into eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family. A lifelong resident of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Patricia was born on May 8, 1942, to the late Andrew and Agnes (Ferrari) Montini.

Patricia graduated from Bassick High School with the Class of 1960 and went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career with the City of Bridgeport Housing Code Department, where she formed many cherished friendships and left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of working alongside her. Following her retirement, she often reflected on those years with great fondness.

A woman of deep faith, Patricia was a devoted member of St. Ann Church beginning in 1963. Her unwavering love for God, her family, and her community guided her throughout her life. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the genuine kindness she extended to everyone she met. Patricia found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, celebrating life's special moments, and creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, James McCarthy; her parents, Andrew and Agnes Montini; her brother, Godfrey Montini, and his wife, Mary; her sister, Erma, and brother-in-law, Tony; her sister, Mary, and brother-in-law, Robert; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dan and Karen McCarthy.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her sister, Antoinette Montini Trovarelli, of Stratford; her sons, Sean McCarthy and his wife, Lauren, of West Haven, Kenny McCarthy and Nathalie, of Stratford, and Michael McCarthy of Bridgeport.

She was the proud and devoted grandmother of T.J. McCarthy, Jordan Veilleux, Eamon, Elyse, Joseph, and Jaiden McCarthy, Juliana and Nathaniel Schull, Ray Jackson and his wife, Mellissa, Rachel and A.J. Urbano. She was also blessed with beloved great-grandchildren Gia, Estelle, E.J., Davina, Armando, Jaxon, and Covey, each of whom brought immense joy to her life. She loved beyond measure all of her nieces and nephews.

Patricia also held a special place in her heart for the Collins and Kuroghlian families. Their friendship, love, and presence throughout her life were gifts she deeply treasured, and she would want them to know how much they meant to her.

Patricia's life was defined by quiet strength, steadfast faith, unconditional love, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her gentle smile, compassionate heart, and welcoming spirit touched countless lives. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, 4-8pm at the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Services will be held publicly at Saint Ann Church in Bridgeport on Thursday, August 6, at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport.
