Anna Rokas, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on June 7, 2026, in Waterbury, Connecticut. She was 90 years old.

Anna was born in Athens, Greece on October 12, 1935. She grew up with a love for books and a desire for knowledge. She was proud to have colleges degrees in both countries, Greece and the United States. She moved to the United States in her early 30's with her husband and baby to make a new life with her family. She was also proud to have had a career as a Manager in the Equitable Life Insurance CO. where she cherished the people she worked with and developed lifelong friendships that carried out through her life. In addition to her work, Anna loved cooking, gardening and music.

Anna's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to live on with her friends and family.

Anna is survived by her daughter Nancy Rokas-Crowe and her son-in-law John Crowe of Newtown. She also leaves behind her nephews Kenny Tassoulas of Lakewood Ranch, George Viasseros of Astoria, Chris Tassoulas of Nenscoset and niece Catherine Tassoulas of Nesconset who will miss her deeply and cherish their memories of her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander Rokas, her mother and father Aneta and Kyriakos Voulgarellis, her sister Emily Tassoulas and brother-in-law Chris Tassoulas and nephew Nicholas Tassoulas.

As we say goodbye to Anna Rokas, we celebrate the life of a strong and determined woman who will be remembered for her love for family and friends.

A celebration of Anna's life will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lesko Funeral Home, located at 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Church services will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Church Greek Orthodox Church, followed by burial at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
