Paul David Landino, Sr. Obituary
Paul David Landino, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.
Paul was born on July 14, 1953, in New Haven, Connecticut, the oldest of three children born to Albert and Marie Landino. He grew up in Westville of New Haven and attended Saint Brendan School. He later attended Cheshire Academy, where he was a member of the track team, before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bryant University. Paul built a successful career as an entrepreneur and business leader. He was widely respected for his work in commercial development and operations throughout Connecticut and New York, including his role in the redevelopment and modernization of Connecticut’s highway service plazas and his longtime affiliation with Subway development in the region. During his years as a Subway Development Agent, he was President, leader, and mentor to all development agents in the US and around the world for many years. He took tremendous pride in building businesses, creating opportunities for others, and forming lasting relationships throughout his career.
Above all else, Paul was devoted to his family. He was a proud and loving husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved most. He was known for his strong work ethic, generosity, loyalty, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to those around him. He prided himself on staying calm in the face of any of life’s adversities. His guidance, support, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Paul married Joanne, with whom he grew up in his childhood, and together they built a life centered around faith and family. In 1976, they began their married life together in Northford, CT, where their two sons, Paul Jr. and Christopher, were born. In 1992, they moved to Southport, CT, where they created countless cherished memories together.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife Joanne, their two sons Paul and daughter-in-law Kristen, and their three children, Nicholas, Roman and Chloe; his son Christopher, and daughter-in-law Hilary, and their two children Charlotte and Jamie; his brother Robert Landino and sister AlbertaLandino; his mother-in-law Loretta Palumbo.
Paul loved his family and was the provider and foundation of all things. He was someone everyone turned to for support, encouragement, wisdom, and love. He especially loved living on Fairfield Beach with his wife and treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren. He was present for his grandchildren in every way and rarely missed a school event, game, or special occasion at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church and School in Fairfield. He loved his parish deeply and was devoted to attending Mass most weekdays at noon with his wife, and especially on Sundays to attend the family Mass. He was a truly special man whose guidance, strength, and love touched the lives of all who knew him
