Charles Polatsek, age 90 of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, surrounded by family.

  He was the beloved husband for 39 years to the late Trudy Polatsek.   In addition to his longtime companion, Nancy Tapick,  Charlie’s memory will be embraced by his family including three sons: Mark and his wife, Jodi; Scott, and his wife, Erin; Brian, and his wife, Rebecca; eight most cherished grandchildren, Riley, Reece, Hannah, Grace, Benjamin, Maggie, Lila and William; sister, Eva Fodor; brother Steven Polatsek and his wife Judit, sister-in-law, Helga Feeney, as well as many nieces and nephews.

  Born and raised in Hungary, Charles came to America when he was 21 years old.  Beginning as a lathe operator on second shift, he eventually found his way to Fairfield Tool where Al Teruzzi promoted him to foreman.  In 1969, along with John Weiland, Charlie and Al started the company now known as Precision Resource.  Always curious, ambitious, and extremely humble in what he achieved, Charlie worked hard to build a culture of family within Precision Resource.  No matter what division he visited within the US or around the globe, Charlie always walked the floor and shook hands with everyone, thanking each person for their individual contributions.  It was his belief that the people around you are what makes you successful.  He never forgot the humble beginnings from which he came. 

  Charlie’s infectious smile, welcoming personality and generous nature made him so approachable and easy to love.  He cultivated long-lasting friendships with innumerable people while traveling throughout the United States and Canada in his treasured motorhome.  He will be remembered for his technical skills and kind soul, but what truly mattered to him most was family.
