Ronald Gordon Holzbauer, 65, of Fairfield, Connecticut, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at his home in Fairfield.

    Ronald was born on 12/17/60 in Bridgeport CT to Joan Marlyn Holzbauer and John Francis Holzbauer. He was a lifelong resident of Fairfield CT.

    Beloved son, brother, uncle, and great uncle. predeceased by father, John Francis Holzbauer, mother, Joan Marlyn Holzbauer, and brother Kurt Holzbauer.

    Survived by brother, David Holzbauer of Stratford, CT, nieces Melissa Holzbauer of Ayer, MA and Casandra Holzbauer of Fairfield, CT and great-nephew Christopher Towne of Fairfield, CT.

    Ronald loved sports. Throughout childhood he enjoyed playing sports, especially baseball. He spent his childhood playing in Fairfield Little League where his team won the state championship at age 13. Throughout teenage and young adult years, he was an avid bowler and could be found at Circle Lanes leading his team to victory in league bowling. Spent Sundays playing golf with his friends and family. Ronald loved the outdoors, especially camping. Ron's door was always open to family and friends and if you stopped by to visit him on an evening or weekend in summer, he was often sitting in the sun completing a crossword puzzle and listening to his favorite band- AC/DC. Ronald was a retired technician for CT Basement Systems.
