Fernando Manuel Ribeiro Obituary
Fernando Manuel Ribeiro, age 63, of Westport, CT, passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, to José Manuel Ribeiro and Clementina Margarida Francisco, he grew into a man known for his generosity, kindness, and deep devotion to the people in his life. He had a quiet strength and a gentle nature, and he touched the lives of countless people through his compassion and willingness to always lend a helping hand.
He built a long and respected career in the electrical industry, working as a sales manager in electrical wholesale. Through his hard work, integrity, and warm personality, he formed many lasting friendships and professional relationships throughout his career.
Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a loyal fan of the New York Mets and the New York Rangers, always enjoying the chance to watch a game and cheer on his teams. He also loved gardening and spending time outdoors, often finding peace and satisfaction caring for his yard and garden.
Above all else, his greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted father and an incredibly loving grandfather whose grandchildren meant the world to him. He cherished every moment spent with them, such as making breakfast early in the morning, attending their activities, sharing stories, and simply being present in their lives. He made each of them feel deeply loved and supported.
He was also known for the thoughtful ways he stayed connected to those he cared about. Many family members and friends will remember receiving his early-morning holiday and birthday texts, wishing them well. A small but meaningful gesture that perfectly reflected the caring and generous person he was.
He is survived by his loving children, Melissa Iacobelli and her husband Nicholas Iacobelli, and David Ribeiro and his wife Tessa Ribeiro; his cherished grandchildren, Rylee Iacobelli, Blake Iacobelli, Hudson Iacobelli, and Rowan Ribeiro; his sister Maria Morais and brother-in-law Fernando Morais, and his beloved nieces Jessica Mejia and Samantha Morais, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He will be remembered for his generous spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and in the many memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
